About this event

Join us for a two-part exploration in the Marineland area of northern Flagler County. First, we will explore the rocky intertidal zone of River to Sea Preserve for marine life with UF/IFAS Extension Sea Grant Agent Carolyn Kovacs, and then we will head across the street to the UF Whitney Lab to meet with Dr. Ibarra Castro, who will give us a presentation on his research and a tour of his fish aquaculture facilities. Meet at the boardwalk above the dunes at the beachfront parking lot of River to Sea Preserve (9805 N Ocean Shore Blvd) at 1:30 pm. Wear comfortable clothing for the sun and shoes you don't mind getting wet while you explore. You may want to bring a towel and a dry pair of shoes to change for the second portion of our day at the Whitney Lab! Please remember your full, reusable water bottle 🙂 Optional: Meet at Ragga Surf Cafe at 12:30 pm for a group lunch before beginning the walk! Ragga Surf Cafe is located at the Marineland parking lot (9600 N Ocean Shore Blvd, Marineland)
