  • Local surgeon and former Olympian Ronald Joseph, who competed in the 1964 Innsbruck Olympics and battled ALS, died on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 81 in St. Johns County; his funeral is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 23 at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Ponte Vedra Beach.  First Coast News
