COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Protesters will gather Saturday, Jan. 31 at 3 p.m. at 75 King Street in St. Augustine to call for changes in federal immigration policies as part of a series of statewide demonstrations.  The St. Augustine Record

EDUCATION NEWS

  • St. Johns County Clerk and Flagler College launch Saints in Public Service, an internship for college students seeking careers in public service. The program, announced Jan. 27, offers mentoring through county divisions (Criminal, Civil, Public Affairs) while interns work in law, administration, IT and communications during the spring semester.  The St. Augustine Record

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Florida will more than double the number of Bexley Boxes by the end of February, with Walmart pledging $100,000+ to help law enforcement agencies provide care for children in crisis. The initiative, founded by Kirsten Bridegan in memory of her daughter, aims to expand comforting resources statewide.  First Coast News
