  • Researchers from Ocearch tracked several great white sharks along Florida's Gulf Coast on March 12, including a nearly 14-foot male spotted 6 miles from St. Augustine (data released by Ocearch). They say the migration confirms the Gulf as a key winter habitat with very rare human encounters.  The St. Augustine Record

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • St. Johns County broke ground yesterday on the $23.8 million Greenbriar Park and library at 505 Rally Road in St. Johns — the third site in a regional initiative to expand public spaces.  The St. Augustine Record
  • Reports from yesterday show TSA wait times ranged from less than one minute at St. Augustine Airport to up to 68 minutes at other Florida airports due to a continuing government shutdown.
