- ➤ Epic-Cure rescued and distributed 9.8 million pounds of food in 2024 to help children and seniors in the area, and the volunteer-run nonprofit will begin construction on a new 10,000-square-foot kitchen facility at 450 South Holmes Blvd. later this year to boost its food processing and distribution efforts. The demolition permit is still pending and the issue will be reviewed by the Cultural Review Board on April 14th—residents are divided on preserving the historic site or making way for new development—leaving its future uncertain.
