- ➤ Residents in St. Augustine woke to smoky skies on April 22 from wildfires in Putnam County burning near the St. Johns River + the largest fire covered 4,112 acres and was 50% contained by 8:30 a.m. The St. Augustine Record
- ➤ Mandatory watering restrictions are in place as groundwater levels drop and the water management district limits home irrigation to once a week (odd addresses on Saturday, even addresses on Sunday, nonresidential on Tuesday). The measure aims to conserve water amid little rain. First Coast News
- ➤ Wildfires burned thousands of acres in northeast Florida yesterday, prompting evacuations and nearly 50 homes destroyed, while fires in southeast Georgia scorched over 31 square miles. Crews continue to fight active flames along major roads in affected areas. First Coast News
