- ➤ Four superintendent finalists—Scott Schneider, Dr. Brennan Asplen, Dr. Marianne Simon and Dr. Kyle Dresback—met Tuesday night with students, parents and community members, and the school board will vote on a new superintendent on May 20 at 9 a.m. at the district administrative building with the chosen candidate expected to start by July 1. - ➤ The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season begins June 1 and is expected to have more storms than usual with Andrea as its first named storm. The National Hurricane Center will start daily tropical outlooks on May 15—new updates will include a smaller cone for tracking storm centers and longer advisory notice for storm surges.
