- ➤ St. Johns County announced a widening project on County Road 210 that will cause traffic delays from June 9 through June 13. The $15 million project will expand a 0.7-mile stretch between Trinity Way and Beachwalk Boulevard to six lanes—adding a new signalized intersection, sidewalks, and bike lanes to ease congestion. Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 582 in St. Augustine on May 23 to strengthen protections for historic buildings by allowing fines for unlawful demolition and alterations—fines will be capped at 20% of a building's pre-demolition market value if it is on the National Register or part of a historic district, and the law will take effect on July 1.
