- ➤ Invest 94L southeast of Florida in the Caribbean is expected to become a tropical depression today—if it strengthens, it may become Tropical Storm Imelda—and bring wind, rain, and storm surge to parts of the southeast U.S. coast early next week. The St. Augustine Record
- ➤ Hurricane Humberto strengthened into a hurricane yesterday and is predicted to rapidly intensify into a Category 4 storm over the weekend while forecasters monitor Invest 94L, which is expected to form a tropical depression near the Bahamas.
