The St. Johns County School District is hosting the Come Drive the Bus event on October 25 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Public Safety Campus Test Track on Gaines Road in St. Augustine to help ease a shortage of bus drivers — participants can test drive a school bus, meet district trainers, and learn about the new opportunities offered by community partners.

Patients Not Prisoners, a St. Johns County nonprofit, announced its donation at the Evening of Compassion Gala on Oct 17 to fill budget gaps at Northeast Florida State Hospital in Macclenny & help build a new outdoor Peace Park and renovate the Visitor Center for families.
