Here's your local news at a glance for Thursday, the 6th of November.
Good morning, St. Augustine.
St. Augustine and St. Johns County offer many November events with charity builds, golf games, art walks and nature programs scheduled from today through Nov 29—key activities include the Tunnel to Towers Pairing Party and a Veterans Build on Nov 7-8, along with free community gatherings.
Jacksonville Jaguars general manager James Gladstone said the team traded two future draft picks to the Raiders for receiver Jakobi Meyers because his reliable hands could help reduce dropped passes — a key move as the Jaguars, with several injured receivers, plan to boost their win chances. Meyers is set to play against the Texans on Nov. 9 as he joins the Jaguars to strengthen their offense.
Jakobi Meyers joined the Jaguars after a trade that sent away fourth and sixth-round NFL Draft picks—he played with both the Patriots and Raiders before.
He said he looks forward to working with coach Edgar Bennett and hopes to help a receiving group that has struggled with dropped passes—his experience will add strength to the offense.
