  • Local retailers in St. Augustine are set to open early on Black Friday, November 28—Marshalls and Ross at 7 a.m., Premium Outlet at 6 a.m., and Bass Pro Shops at 5 a.m.—while national chains have announced staggered sale start times. Amazon will begin sales on November 20, Walmart will open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday, and Target’s online deals will launch on November 23.  The St. Augustine Record

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The St. Augustine Police Department thanked Assistant Chief Anthony W. Cuthbert as he retires after 28 years of service — he served in roles such as interim chief and many other leadership positions. Cuthbert joined the force in 1997 after beginning his law enforcement career in New Mexico and will now enjoy his retirement.  Historic City News
