- ➤ JetBlue returned to Daytona Beach on Dec. 4 with daily flights to New York and Boston and added or increased service at Fort Lauderdale and other Florida airports with fares starting at $59, while more routes are scheduled for later this month and into 2026. The St. Augustine Record

- ➤ St. Augustine was named the Ultimate Southern Christmas Town last year by Southern Living for its renowned Nights of Lights festival covering 20 city blocks with over 3 million lights, holiday shopping and festive cocktails. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, St. Johns County commissioners voted unanimously to ban cigarette smoking and vaping on beaches and parks; cigarette butts and e-cigarette waste are now treated as litter and violations can lead to fines. Local middle and high school students pushed the new rule after raising health concerns. First Coast News
