- ➤ A bright meteor was seen across Florida on Tuesday around 12:40 p.m., with sightings reported in Miami, Ft. Myers, Starke and St. Augustine. Witnesses said the fireball shined in colors from blue to red and lasted between 1 and 7 seconds—an uncommon daytime event. First Coast News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ St. Augustine will implement safety changes for Nights of Lights to manage crowds and traffic after last year’s record turnout. The city will add public restrooms (70 portable toilets) and pedestrian barricades (including rideshare geofencing sites) funded by an extra $851,000 from county officials to guide visitors safely.
